Ernie Eugene Lemay

October 11, 1961 — April 17, 2025

Bedford, NH

Ernie Eugene Lemay, age 63, passed on April 17, 2025, at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA. Ernie was born on October 11, 1961, in Manchester, NH, and was the son of Lionel Lemay and Rita Armstrong.

Ernie attended Goffstown High School and then afterwards he joined the US Air Force. He was known as a kind-hearted man, who was always very outgoing and made friends wherever he went! Ernie later worked at the Post Office and retired from there.

You could always find Ernie behind his camera lens, taking stunning pictures of the great Northeast landscape. The beauty of nature, especially the water, flowers, and the phases of the moon, were his favorite types of pictures to capture. Ernie had even made a calendar showing all the photographs of the moon he snapped. The pictures were so beautiful and clear that they made you feel like you were seeing the moon right in front of you.

Ernie was always outdoors. If he wasn’t photographing nature, he was either on his boat on the Piscataquog River in New Hampshire or riding his BMW motorcycle. He made a great community of friends through his love for biking.

More than any hobbies, Ernie loved his family. He was a loving and caring father to his daughter, Leana Lemay, and his grandchildren: Noelle, Isabella and Shea. He was always eager to cheer them on at their basketball and softball games and was excited to be there for them for important events in their lives such as their prom. Ernie was an amazing grandfather and father.

He is survived by his brother, Dave Lemay; daughter, Leana Lemay; and his grandchildren, Noelle, Isabella and Shea. He also leaves behind many other caring family members and friends.

The family will hold a celebration of life for Ernie that will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at 1pm, at the P.A.C. Functional Hall in Manchester, NH.
