Estelle M. Dupuis

Estelle (Duquet) Dupuis, 73, of Santa Cruz, CA and formerly of Manchester, died May 11, 2003 at the Driftwood Nursing Home in Santa Cruz. She was born in Manchester on May 21, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Albina (Fortin) Duquet and lived most of her life in Manchester and Florida before moving to Santa Cruz five years ago. She was a graduate of St. Anthony High School and received a BA degree and a MA degree in Linguistics from Florida Atlantic University. She has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis for over 40 years but never lost her dignity. She enjoyed music throughout her life. Family members include her daughter, Melanie Dupuis of Santa Cruz, CA and two grandchildren, Eli Pechman and Abbey Pechman, both of Santa Cruz. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday from 3 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11:30 AM in St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
