Estelle Violet Tessier

Estelle V. Tessier, 87, of Manchester, NH died peacefully December 11, 2009 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester surrounded by her family. She was born on November 21, 1922 in Manchester the daughter of Joseph and Angeline (Sevigny) Compagna. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. She spent her later years enjoying time with her family. She was especially fond of time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes were playing dominoes and bingo, going to the ocean here and in Florida and the occasional trip to the dollar store. She was a parishioner of St. Edmunds for many years before it closure and merger with the Parish of the Transfiguration. In Her Life: She is survived by her 2 sons, Ronald Tessier of Manchester and Marc Tessier and his wife Debra of Weare; 3 daughters, Rachel (Gauthier) Tessier of Manchester, Adina Allgeyer and her husband Frank of Derry and Denise Moser and her husband Stephen of Bedford; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Raoul Compagna of Hooksett, Andre Compagna of York, ME and Marcel Compagna of Merrimack; 4 sisters, Anita Staples of Florida, Aurore Walsh of Florida, Irene Egan of Manchester and Cecile Sullivan of Bedford and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jean Louis Tessier who died May 4, 1979 and her brother, Robert Compagna who died November 20, 2009. Her Memorial Gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Wednesday from 9 to 10AM. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St, Manchester on Wednesday at 10:30AM. Committal prayer will follow in the mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
