Ethan J. Wasiejko, a transcendent and beautiful spirit who touched the lives of many, passed away suddenly on February 19, 2024, with family at his side. Born on September 14, 2001 in Manchester, NH, Ethan graduated from Pinkerton Academy and was on track to receive his diploma from Southern New Hampshire University in June, 2024 with a major in Communications.
Anyone who knew Ethan knew he had an enormous heart that he shared freely with everyone he encountered. His generous nature and genuine care for others made him a beloved friend to many, as he would often think of his friends and colleagues as his own family.
He was known for his unwavering dedication to his work at Boston’s Children's Hospital as a patient experience representative. Ethan adored his job and was recognized as one of the most grounded and level-headed individuals, always willing to take on the most challenging cases with compassion and empathy. He leaves behind a work family that he cherished deeply.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ethan was a talented musician who shared his gift with the world as part of the band Rite of Passage. He excelled at playing the piano, guitar, and keytar, showcasing his musical prowess and creativity. Outside of music, Ethan found solace in spiritual readings, a nice glass of wine, most recently horseback riding, and of course spending time with his two beloved cats, Trinidad & Percy, aka “Joel”. Ethan also harbored a profound love for Lady Gaga, earning him the endearing title of "Uncle Gaga" from his nephews. Above all else, Ethan cherished his relationships with friends who became like family to him, and he will be dearly missed by all of the lives he touched. He was an infectious spirit of positivity and embodied his favorite catch phrase “Be The Light.”
Ethan was predeceased by his great grandparents George & Edith Eaton and his grandfather Armand Miclette.
Ethan is survived by his partner Parker Young; mother Janet Wasiejko; father John Wasiejko; grandmother Virginia Miclette; grandfather Daniel Trombly; sisters Amber Bennett and Jordyn Wasiejko; brother Mason Wasiejko; nephews Colton & Wesley Bennett; aunt Samantha Gosselin; aunt Michelle Miclette; uncle Raymond Miclette; cousins Cameron, Sean & Matthew Miclette; as well as a large network of extended family & friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25th at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service on Monday, February 26th starting at 10:00 AM.
Donations in Ethan’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association or the Boston Childrens Hospital.
