Ethel Emily Beverly, formally Emily Nettles and Emily Seymore, 78, of Manchester, NH unexpectedly passed in her home on November 6, 2018. She was born on July 31,1940 in Neptune, NJ. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Caramel Elementary School in Asbury Park, NJ. Ethel was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Belmar, NJ. She attended NYU for computer programing.
At age 17, Ethel began working as a Superior Court Stenographer in New York City. She went on to work as a department manager for Affiliated Publishing Company in NYC, a computer programmer at Signal Light, and pursued a career in nursing. Ethel owned E.B. Cleaning Service in Asbury Park, NJ before relocating to Manchester, NH in 1994 with her two daughters. Here, Ethel opened her own business, Variety of Readings. Ethel loved spending time with her family, singing, dancing and playing the piano.
Ethel was married to Lawrence James Beverly who preceded her in death. She was the daughter of Potter and Ethel Nettles. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Jones, Aunt Ada and Uncle George Bryan, Aunt Gwendolyn and Uncle Herman Jones Sr and granddaughter, Tahyna Seymore-Morris.
She is survived by her daughter Crystal Seymore and husband Derek Precheck, and daughter Belinda Scarboro of Manchester, NH. Her grandchildren, Erik Seymore and Melissa Jacob, Jessica Pearce, Jeffrey Seymore and Emily Seymore, Junelle Scarboro, Gary Scarboro Jr., and Rachael Scarboro, Zyimira Precheck, Zavia Precheck, eleven great-grandchildren, two goddaughters and a host of friends and family.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, November 12th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Phaneuf funeral home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH.
