Ethel G. Lazott

Ethel Lazott, 84, of 40 Allied Street, Manchester, died June 2, 2001, at the elliot Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in S. Windsor, Ct. on October 3, 1916, the daughter of Henry Joseph & Jenny Maude (Humes) Barry and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. Ethel worked many years for U.S. Rubber and retired from Sylvania after many years of service. She was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. Mrs. Lazott loved reading, was a Red Sox Fan, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ethel made a mean apple pie. She was the widow of Harld A. Lazott who died in 1985. Family members include a son James A. Lazott, two daughters, Patty Lazott and Mrs. Chester (Barbara) Frost, all of Manchester, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother Charles Barry of Colechester, Connecticut, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Anne Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the St. Jude Children Hospital, P.O. Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101.
