Eugene A. Gauthier

Eugene A. Gauthier, 74, of 40 Riverview Park Road, died February 3, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was born in Manchester on June 6, 1928, the son of Romeo and Alda (Houle) Gauthier and had been a lifelong resident of the City. He was a World War II, Korean and Vietnam War Veteran. He served for over 25 years in the military, earning numerous citations, awards and medals. He was a member of the DAV. He was very active with AA and sponsored many members. He also volunteered at the VA hospital for many years. He started Magoo's Drive In Pinardville, a well known neighborhood landmark. Family members include two sisters, Cecilia Dubisz of Manchester and Jeannette Walters of Amherst and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday from 4 to 7 PM with funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel at 7:00.
