Eugene R. Phaneuf, 68, of 90 Edward J. Roy Drive, died November 29, 2005 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Southbridge, MA on July 18, 1937, the son of Kilda and Maria (Dorval) Phaneuf and had been a Manchester resident for many years. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He had worked as an engineering technician with PSNH for 27 years until his retirement. He was an avid stamp collector and a parishioner of St. Hedwig Church. Family members include his wife of 43 years, Doris (Cassidy) Phaneuf; four sons, Donald Phaneuf of Manchester, Normand Phaneuf and Robert Phaneuf, both of Boston and Richard Phaneuf of Manchester; a daughter, Michelle Bourassa of Brookline; three grandchildren; one sister, Shirley LaCerte of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 in St. Hedwig Church. Urn burial with military honors will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
