Eva J. Dionne

Eva J. (Veilleux) Dionne, 83, of Manchester died January 29, 2007 at the Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born on April 9, 1923 in Manchester, the daughter of Simeon and Georgiana (Grodin) Veilleux. She was educated in the Manchester school system.

Mrs. Dionne worked at the former HJ Towhy & Sons in Manchester.

She loved playing cards, games, dancing and bingo. Mrs. Dionne truly enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of PAC, Queen City Promenaders.

Survivors include her son, Donald Dionne of Manchester; 3 daughters, Suzanne Proulx of Manchester, Muriel Kohler of Manchester and Gloria Reed of New London, NH; brother Maurice Veilleux of Manchester; 6 sisters, Rose Lamy of Cecile Lamy, Mildard Pare, Annette Fournier, Violette Gardner and Doris Moreau all of Manchester; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Walter R. Dionne who died in 1999.

Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, on Wednesday from 4 to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at the Parish of the Transfiguration at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
