Eva (Millios) Liakos, 80, of Manchester, died November 26, 2005 at the Elliot Hospital after a long illness. Born in Manchester on August 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Spiro and Helen (Metronatsis) Millios. She graduated in 1943 (Class B) from Manchester High School Central. She was the secretary of her class and helped to organize many class reunions. After having worked at New Hampshire Finance Company, she remained home to raise her children. Mrs. Liakos was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was a member of the Anagennesis Ladies Society and served on its Board. She sung in the choir, held membership in the NOA Auxiliary Club and was a Bingo and Glendi volunteer for many years. Family members include her husband of 56 years, Charles Liakos; two sons, Stephen Liakos of Bow and Philip Liakos of Manchester; two granddaughters; one brother, George Millios and one sister, Evangeline Hall, both of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. In Her Life: She will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife and mother and a wonderful grandmother to her only two granddaughters, Kathleen and Christa Liakos. Her family was the center of her life. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The Trisageon Service will take place in the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:15 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral with the Rev. Andrew Mahalares, Dean of the Cathedral as celebrant.
