EVA E. LOUDEN

MILFORD, NH -- Eva E. (Woolson) Louden, 97, passed away on March 21st at Crestwood Harborside Home in Milford,NH. She was a resident of Lisbon, NH for thirty-five years, moving to Milford eighteen years ago to be near family. She most recently lived at the Granite Square Apartments.

Eva was born in West Bath, NH on April 14, 1908, a daughter of Charles L. and Mary (Ahl) Woolson. She was a graduate of Lisbon, (NH) High School, class of 1926 and Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital School of Nursing (Hanover, NH), Class of 1929.

She was the widow of Amos H. Lowden in 1967 and Samuel Louden in 1988.
Her nursing career spanned several decades and locales from Hanover to Long Island to northern NH. Her specialties included private duty, obstetrics, school and district nursing and general duty hospital nursing.

Through her life she loved gardening, playing the piano, reading, singing and volunteering. Eva was a member of the Methodist and Congregational churches in Lisbon, the Dorcas Society, the choir, and the Lisbon Grange. She attended the United Church of Christ in Milford.

After retiring, she enjoyed many winters in Florida and southern California. She was an active volunteer at the Senior Meals in Milford well into her nineties and drove until she was ninety-five.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia M. and Peter T. Hansen of Amherst, NH; granddaughter, Karyn J. Hansen of Columbia, SC.; grandson and his wife, Ryan N. and Jennifer M. Hansen; great-grandsons John (Jack) L. and Brady S. Hansen all of Milford, NH; sister Edith L. Woolson of Imperial, CA.; nieces and nephews.

SERVICES -- A Graveside Service will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Lisbon later this spring.
