Evelyn A. (Gilmin) Deneau, 78, of 296 Lake Avenue, died January 26, 2004 at the Elliot hospital. She was born in Goffstown on June 14, 1925, the daughter of John and Yvonne (Doucette) Gilmin and had been a lifelong resident of the Manchester area. She had worked at J.M. Fields for many years. She loved to crochet and spend time with her family. Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother. She was the widow of Wilfred Deneau who died in 1966. Family members include six sons, William Deneau and James Deneau, both of Manchester, Gerard Deneau of Campton, Robert Deneau of Rochester, Donald Deneau and David Deneau, both of Manchester; two daughters, June Dionne of Hooksett and Deborah Fleming of Manchester; nine grandchildren; two brothers, William Gilman of Goffstown, and Wilfred Gilman of WA; a sisters, Mae Haskins of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday morning from 10 to 11 AM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00.
