Ezra Paul Francis Beck, 83, of 54 Shirley Hill Road, died peacefully into the light July 13, 2003, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Hazelton, Pennsylvia on June 1, 1920, the son of the late James and Sarah (Helferty) Beck and had been a resident of Goffstown since 1967. Ezra was actively involved in his community and local politics by serving on the budget committee and more recently as a cemetery trustee. After retiring from the Army Air Force as a veteran of three wars; W.W. II, Korean Conflict, Viet Nam Era, Ezra worked at Sanders briefly and actively pursued his hobbies in carpentry and model shipbuilding. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years (Audrey) Monica Beck of Goffstown, a son,. Alan Beck of Waltham, Massachusetts. Four daughters; Monica Jane Lajoie of Manchester, Tess Beck of Strafford, Connecticut, Christina Beck of Alexandria, Virginia and Lucy Beck of Connecticut, seven grandchildren, Two sisters, Grace Bell of California and Marie of New Jersey. SERVICES: Calling hours will be at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Tuesday evening from 5 to 7. A Memorial service will held at St. Matthew's Church in Goffstown on July 19, 2003, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Goffstown Chapter of the VFW.
