Federico A. Carpentino, 57, of Tucson, AZ died July 2, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tucson. He was born in New Haven, CT on August 19, 1947, the son of Ernest and Lucy (Carpentino) Linsley and had been New Hampshire resident for most of his life before moving to Arizona five years ago. He was a Navy Seal during the Vietnam War. During his life, he enjoyed numerous careers. He was a race car driver, mortician, insurance salesman, police officer and an ordained minister. He was a member of the DAV, VFW and the American Legion. He recently became a member of the Masons. He loved to hunt and fish, travel and spending time with his wife RVing around North American. Family members include his wife of ten years, Muriel (Audet) Carpentino; his mother, Lucy Beebe of CT; a son, Kurt Carpentino of Hinsdale; a daughter, Renee Loveless of Hinsdale; a step-son, Chuck Abood of Oceanside, CA; two step-daughters, Tracey Nicholas and Tricia Abood, both of Manchester; five grandchildren; a brother, Richard Carpentino of CT; two sisters, Barbara Mitchell and Maryanne Mancino, both of CT; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM. Funeral services will take place on Friday morning at 8:30 in the funeral home chapel. Committal services with military honors will follow in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.
