Fiore Anthony Costello

Fiore Anthony Costello, 94, of Manchester, NH, passed away after a brief illness on October 12, 2024, at Riverwood’s in Manchester NH. He was born on March 31, 1930, in New York, New York, son of the late Rita Costello.

Fiore honorably served in the United States Army as a military policeman during the Korean war. He later worked in New York as a ladies’ lingerie designer, for a major manufacturer at that time. Fiore also was successful in his real estate career and was even recognized by the city of Manchester for his work on restoring buildings from the 1800’s. The city even recognized him with a historic preservation award.

He had a passion for life that was reflected in everything he did, including his faith, where he served as an Elder in the Jehovah Witness religion. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and was always ready to celebrate a victory or endure a loss. Fiore was a man of exceptional taste. He took pride in his appearance, always dressing to impress with his classic style. Traveling was another joy in his life, especially when it involved adventures with his beloved wife Barbara. They explored new destinations creating cherished memories, even still traveling into his 90’s, where his last trip took him to Egypt and Israel.

Fiore is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara (Wimpenney) Costello of Manchester; son Tony Costello and his wife Joy of North Falmouth, MA; daughter Angela Grisafi and her husband Philip of Manchester and daughter Beverly Costello Russ of Maryland; and granddaughters Meghan Costello and Gianna Sherman, as well as 6 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 17th from 4-7 pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematoriums located at 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. A memorial service will be held Friday October 18th at 6:30 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 97 Daniel Plummer Rd Goffstown NH 03045.
