Flora E. "Flo" Gelinas, 87, of Manchester, died November 25, 2003, at the Villa Crest Retirement Inc. She was born in Manchester, NH on November 30, 1915, the daughter of the late Napoleon and Emelia (Boisvert) Proulx, and resided most of her life in Manchester. She lived for 8 years in Hagerstown, Maryland and Emmaus, Pennsylvania for a few years. She worked for International Shoe for many years and Honeywell for six years. Flo was a charter member of the Hillsborough County Nursing Home Guild and was the last remaining charter member of the Guild. She was very active with St. Edmond Church and ran for two terms as President for St. Edmond CWV 1699. She was the widow of her first husband, Hebert Leclerc who died in 1941 and her second husband Roger Gelinas who died in 1995. Flo was well known for her excellent skills in cooking. Family members include her daughter Mrs. Emile (Jeannine) Charest of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, a brother Leon Proulx of Manchester, several nieces and nephews. IN HER LIFE: she loved her three grandchildren, Andrea Charest of Oakpart, Illinois, Joseph Charest of Atlanta, Georgia and Mike Charest of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in the Parish of Transfiguration. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
