Florent H. Horion, Sr., 78, formerly of 55 Amory Street and currently at the Tilton Veteran Home, died January 13, 2000, at Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin, NH. He was born in Ste. Samuel, PQ, Canada on August 6, 1921, the son of Ephrem and Elianne (Prince) Horion and was raised in Manchester, NH, moved to West Milford, New Jersey for 27 years before returning to Manchester in 1990. He was a W.W. II Army Veteran serving in four campaigns including the Battle of the Buldge, Normandy, Campagnes and served in France, Germany and Belgium. Florent was award the Bronze Star, four Battle Stripes and served in the 394th Infantry and was a french interpreter during W.W. II. He held lifetime memberships with the American Legion, Jutras Post; the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He worked for Vinal Plastics Company. Family members include three sons, Florent Horion, Jr. Of East Boston, Ma., Walter Horion of Quincy, Ma. And Ronald Horion of Milton, Ma., a daughter, Sherry Peterson of Plymouth, Ma., four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four brothers, Sylvio Horion of Manchester, Laurier Horion of Loudon, Tenn., Albert Horion of Manchester, NH and Paul Horion of Lancaster, five sisters, Angele Levesque of Manchester, NH, Lorraine St.Onge of Hooksett, Adrienne Mohamed of Glendora, Ca., Claire Remillard of Manchester, NH and Pauline Richardson of Hampton, NH, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Ste. Marie Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery
