Florine "Flo" Morong

Florine "Flo" G. Morong, 86, of Nashua, died on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Greenbriar Terrace, in Nashua, NH.
Mrs. Morong was born on September 14, 1933, in Roxville, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Lila E. (O'Brien) O'Connell. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1952. She was a long time resident of Beverly, MA.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Morong was employed as a clerk and worked at Almy's and later Rich's.
She loved her flower garden and her large houseplant collection. She enjoyed baking cakes, cookies and pies for her family. Her family meant everything to her. She was liked by everyone who met her. She was always smiling and cheerful.
Members of her family include: her daughter, Darlene M. Nelson, of Somersworth, NH; her sister June C. Deschenes and brother-in-law Andre L. Deschenes; her granddaughter Danielle N. Nelson and husband Jacob R. Pearlstein and grandson Erik J. Nelson; one great grandchild and one niece. She was predeceased by her husband Richard H. Morong.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 9:30 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea, 552 Cabot Street, in Beverly, MA. Committal prayers and interment will follow at North Beverly Cemetery, in Beverly, MA
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The Alzheimer's Association, in memory of Mrs. Morong.
