Frances M. Bazin, 91, of Goffstown died unexpectedly at her home on May 8, 2007. Mrs. Bazin was born on March 8, 1916 in Manchester, the daughter of Ernest and Marie (Cote) Fortin. She grew up in Manchester and was educated locally. Frances was a gifted seamstress and knitter and had a talent for making clothes. She was a former member of St. Anne Sodality of St. Augustin Parish and former parishioner of St. Edmond Church where she and her husband spent many years on the Bingo committee. Frances enjoyed the company of her friends at the West Side Center where she frequently played Bingo and cards. She had a sunny disposition and always had a smile and laugh to share with family and friends. Frances was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and hosting family gatherings was a favorite pastime. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Henry Bazin who died in 1990. Family members include; two sons, Roger Bazin of Lakeland, Florida and Richard Bazin of Manchester; two grandsons; one step-grandson; and nieces and nephews. IN HER LIFE: She leaves behind two daughters-in-law, Simone and Pauline as well as her grandsons, John and David of Manchester and step-grandson, Danny Soucy of Florida. She was predeceased by a step-grandson, Mark Soucy. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church with interment to follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
