FRANCES M. GARDNER-LINDAHL
WHITEFIELD, NH Frances M. Gardner-Lindahl, 85, formerly of Littleton, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005, at the Sartwell House Morrison Nursing Home, where she received loving care from all the staff.
Frances was born a daughter to Alfred E. and Fannie (Stockwell) Gardner on September 2, 1918 in Lancaster, NH. She was raised and attended schools in Plymouth, NH, graduating from Plymouth High School.
Frances was employed by the New England Telephone Company for 25 years, retiring in Littleton as Chief Telephone Operator. She then worked as switchboard operator at the Littleton Regional Hospital for a number of years. She was a Telephone Pioneer member.
Frances married Carl Lindahl in 1962, who predeceased her in 1967.
Surviving family members include her nieces, Judith Wheeler of Pittsburg, KS, Karen Wheeler of Colchester, CT, Dr. Mary Barnard of San Francisco, CA, Alfreda Jones of Australia, Pam Maga of Chicago, IL, one nephew, John Wheeler of Vernon, CT; several more nieces and nephews, and good friend, Sara Elaine Stroop. Her parents, three sisters, Ruth Wheeler, Elizabeth Duguay, and Edith Davis, as well as two brothers, Emmons Gardner and William Gardner predeceased her.
SERVICES A Memorial Service will be held at the All Saints Episcopal Church on April 29, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Barbara Thrall officiating. Following the service, family will receive friends at the All Saints Episcopal Church hall. Burial took place on Thursday, April 14, 2005 in the Summer Street Cemetery in Lancaster, NH.
