Francis A. Bedard, 72, of Pinardville, died June 20, 2004 in his home after a illness. He was born in Goffstown, NH on January 4, 1932, the son of Xavier Francis and Eva (Gagnon) Bedard and had been a lifelong resident of this area. He retired as a letter carrier with the US Postal Service. He was a veteran of the US Army and then served for with the Air Force Reserve totaling 20 years. He was a member of the Sweeney Post and the CWV. Francis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He volunteered at Hillsborough County Nursing Home and the Red Cross, was affiliated with the Nurse Parish Program at the Parish of Transfiguration and was also a parishioner. Mr. Bedard enjoyed watching all sports. Family members include his wife of 48 years, Beatrice (Jacob) Bedard of Pindardville, a son, Ronald H. Bedard of Chicago, Illinois; three daughters, Denise E. Bedard of New Boston, NH, Elaine P. Bedard of Barre, Vermont and Mrs. David (Joyce) M. Baribeau of Hooksett, NH, three grandchildren, a brother, Leo Bedard of Manchester, NH., many nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 9 oclock in the Parish of Transfiguraton. Burial will follow in the NH State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH at 11:30 AM.
