Francis J. Thibeault, 70, of Manchester, died February 18, 2001 at Maple Leaf Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Manchester on July 20, 1930, the son of Dennis and Mary (McGuiness) Thibeault and had been a lifelong resident of the City. He was a US Navy Korean War Veteran. He was a graduate of Keene State College in 1950. He started his teaching career in 1959 and retired from the Manchester School System at Southside Junior High School in 1991. He taught for 32 years. He was an assistant football coach for Central High School and also coached Spring and Winter Track for Central. He was a parishioner of St. Anne Church. Family members include his wife of 49 years, Ruth (Christian) Thibeault; three sons, Christopher Thibeault, Scott Thibeault and Douglas Thibeault, all of Manchester; two daughters, Cynthia Thibeault of Hooksett and Catherine Thibeault of Manchester; nine grandchildren; a brother, Edward Thibeault of St. Louis, MO and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours are at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St on Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. Anne Church. Rev. Timothy Thibeault and Rev. John Gallagher will concelebrated the Mass. After cremation, urn burial and a committal service will follow in the Spring.
