Franconia, NH Frank Perry Ladd, 83, died Thursday July 29, 2010 at Lafayette Center Nursing Facility.
Frank was born the son of Harry and Florence (Perkins) Ladd in Littleton on June 20, 1927. Frank served in the U.S. Army and after the war he moved to Sarasota Florida and was a lineman and troubleshooter for the Florida Power and Light company for 38 years prior to retiring in 1987 then spent the winter in Sarasota and summer in Littleton. He was a lifetime member of the Littleton VFW and also the Sarasota American Legion. Frank was of the Episcopal faith and enjoyed life, good food, good fishing and hunting. He is quoted I have had a good life and did everything I set out to do. He was a loving husband and father and will be sorely missed..
Survivors include: his former schoolmate and later in life his wife of 19 years, Shirley Ladd of Rochester, daughters, Claudia Spencer and Lucinda Plyler both of Sarasota, step-daughters, Diana Craggy of Rochester and Wanda Brown of California, two grandsons, Matthew and Casey and niece Jane Ladd of Littleton as well as a host of friends.
The family will have a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
