FRANK E. WHITING
LITTLETON, NH â Frank E. Whiting, 89, passed away at his home on March 25th.
Frank was born in Dalton on July 24, 1928, one of 12 children to James and Frannie Whiting. His father was a "Jack-of-all-Trades", while his mother was a homemaker.
In his younger years, Frank worked on a farm and in the woods as a logger. Eventually he spent time at the Gilman Mill until going to work at a furniture shop in Coventry, VT. After meeting his future wife, Louisa Dodge, at a dance, of which he would tell was love at first sight, and they were married in 1949, he went to work at Connor's Shoe Shop, while tending his farm. When Connor's closed their shop, Frank purchased Bill Richards Rubbish route and eventually bought out Jesseman, Rodgers and Yeargle's companies and merged the four companies into the Whiting Rubbish Removal Company which is still being run by his family.
Surviving family members include his wife of 67 years, Louisa Whiting; sons Randall Whiting and Dale Whiting; daughter Linda Whiting; grandchildren Mike Yeargle, Darrel Yeargle, David Yeargle, Joshua Yeargle, Connie Brantley, Randall Whiting II, Kristofer Whiting, Jennifer Whiting, Donovan Birdsall, Christian Whiting, Dale Whiting, and Louisa Ramkelawan; great-grandchildren Danielle Rae Goodwin-Yeargle, Hunter Goodwin-Yeargle, Tavis Goodwin-Yeargle, Damion Yeargle, Jasmine Yeargle, Jeremy Yeargle, Kelly Yeargle, Taylor Yeargle, Caitlyn MacKenzie, Sarah Whiting and Jonathan Whiting; and great-great-grandchildren Deklin Goodwin-Yeargle, Ava Yeargle, Tristan Whiting, Samantha Whiting, Meagan Whiting, Adrianna Whiting, Brendon Whiting, Elysia Lee Self, and Chloie Champagne.
He was predeceased by his parents and all his siblings: Ola Fasset, Olen Whiting, Edward Whiting, Doris Whiting, Louis whiting, Linwood Whiting, Harold Whiting, Angeline Perkins, Violet Gaad, Mary Begin, and Ruby Keeler.
SERVICES â The family will receive friends for calling hours on Saturday, April 7th from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m., with a funeral service at 1:30 PM officiated by Rev. Lyn Winter, and a Celebration of Life immediately following the service until 4 PM. All services will be held at the VFW Howard Shawney Post #816 located at 600 Cottage Street in Littleton, NH.
