FRANKLIN B. GAMLIN

NORTH HAVERHILL, NH -- Frank B. Gamlin, 73, formerly of Lisbon, N.H., passed away on February 17, 2007 at the Grafton County Nursing Home in North Haverhill, NH.

He was born in Groton, MA, the son of Edward and Florence (Anderson) Gamlin. Frank enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1951 and served in the Korean War and also the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart for his service. He retired from the Marine Corp as a Master Sergeant in 1971 after serving 20 years in the Marine Corp. After he retired from the Marine Corp, he resided in Oceanside, California. He then moved east with his family ending up in Franklin, NH where he worked at Webster Valve and also attended night school.

Frank then moved north to Lisbon, NH and purchased a home on Kingman Hill. He had various jobs from working at the NH State Liquor store to doing landscaping and maintenance work for different area businesses including the Ammonoosuc Country Club, The Notchway, Franconia Inn and Floradale. His final business was Pampered Plants which he shared with his former wife, Doris Gamlin, of Lisbon NH, from which he retired in 1997.

Family members include his daughter Gale and her husband, Wade Holmes of Littleton, NH.; his son, Gregg Gamlin of Littleton, NH; two grandsons, Andrew Tattersall of Littleton, NH and Matthew Gamlin of Goffstown, NH; a brother Robert Gamlin and his wife, Francis, of Londonderry, NH, along with nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his first wife, two brothers, and one sister.

SERVICES  Military Honors will be presented on Friday, February 23, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Boscowan, NH.
