Frederick J. Dollen

Frederick "Fred" Dollen died January 12, 2024 in Pensacola FL at the age of 85.

Fred is survived by his children: Michael Dollen and wife Nordene of Pensacola FL, David Dollen and wife Joan of Kingston GA, Susan Craig of Pensacola FL, Frederick Dollen Jr. and wife Andrea of Ashland WI, stepdaughter Cynthia MacLean of Stratton ME, brother Richard Dollen of New Durham NH, and many dear grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Martha Hutchins Dollen, and stepson Steven MacLean.

Fred was born on April 6, 1938 in Amesbury MA to Chester and Bernice Dollen. After graduating from Amesbury High School, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served aboard USS Randolph CVA15 as a plane captain with VF173, and later as a member of the Naval Reserves. Afterwards, he worked as a Teamster truck driver for 35 years in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, driving for Holmes Transportation and Consolidated Freightways. He retired in 1998.

After his retirement, Fred and Martha moved to Florida, where they enjoyed traveling in their RV all over our country, visiting 48 of our beautiful 50 states.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18th, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM at Trahan Family Funeral Home, 60
Industrial Blvd, Pensacola, FL.

Burial and Graveside Service is scheduled for June 7th, 2024 at Bedford Center Cemetery, Bedford, NH. Time
TBD.
