Gabrielle Croteau, 99, of Manchester, NH, died October 24, 2010, at St. Teresa's Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 11, 1911, to Albert and Angelina (Dumaine) Bouvier, and was a lifelong resident of Manchester's West Side, attending St. Marie Parish schools. She was a communicant of St. Jean Batiste parish all of her married years.
Mrs. Croteau is survived by her husband of 67 years, Maurice Croteau of Manchester, their daughter, Denise Gagnon of Bedford, a brother, Marcel Bouvier of Bedford, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters and by her young daughter, Muriel.
IN HER LIFE: Gabrielle worked for many years at both Hudson and Machinist, in ladies apparel. Her life revolved around her family. She was a wonderful, witty and fun-loving wife, mother and "memere" and will be greatly missed by all.
Other family members include her son in-law, Gerard Gagnon, four grandchildren--Ken Gagnon, Amy Kercsmar, Rebecca Hager and Lauren Messina--as well as five great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
