Galini “Lena” Karageorgos, 70, passed away at the Bedford Hills Center on May 16, 2026. Born in Paliokastro, Greece, on August 3, 1955, she was a daughter of the late George and Glykeria Karageorgos.

Lena was born and raised in Greece and spent more than 50 years as a resident of New Hampshire. She was outgoing and warmly greeted everyone with a smile. One of eight siblings, she cherished time spent with her family. Lena will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and love of animals.

Lena is survived by her siblings, Christos, Claire, Eleftarios, Vasiliki, Voula, and Stefania, along with their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur and Charlie.

Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lena’s name can be made to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church at https://www.assumptionnh.org/donations 

Lena’s family would like to thank the staff at Bedford Hills for all of the care and kindness they showed Lena.
