Gary Dale Deachman of North Woodstock, NH, passed away peacefully on July 4th 2023.
Gary was born on September 8th 1942 in Littleton, NH to Adelbert and Fern Deachman. He was raised in North Woodstock, NH, and later moved his family to Aurora, CO, in 1972 where he lived and worked as a heavy machine operator for 17 years. He moved back to North Woodstock, NH where he lived out the rest of his life.
He loved playing the drums. He played with Little-Chet and the Monitones in NH and later playing with The Country Boys in Colorado playing weddings, dances, parties and other events (one fond memory is when he sat in playing the drums and singing at his youngest daughter’s wedding in ND). He enjoyed the outdoors and would take his family camping, fishing, and 4-wheel driving in the CO mountains. As a family, he also enjoyed going to the races, fleamarkets, and of course Sunday with friends watching the Denver Bronco’s with his famous homemade chili.
His loved for collecting bottle openers and beer collectibles began in Denver, CO in the late 70’s. He was an avid collector and well respected and loved member of J.F.O. (Just For Openers) and enjoyed going to the yearly conventions. Over the years he met many close friends who shared his love for collecting.
He was a good man who lived a simple life. He had a sarcastic sense of humor and shot straight from the hip. He saw the world in black and white and was very matter of fact. He will be fondly remembered for his love for his family. He looked forward to family visits and always mentioned his favorite times were listening to us talk, laugh and move about the house. He loved to eat, enjoying meals with family, going out to eat, or at home. He enjoyed playing cribbage, going on drives with the windows down, Red Sox games, watching movies and listening to old country music. He was the strongest man we ever knew right up until his passing. He belived in working hard, not worrying about the little things, and just simply living life. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Dad, we Love you.
He is survived by his former wife and cherished friends, Darlene (Rick) Atwood, North Sandwich, NH. His three children, Dell (Christine) Deachman, North Woodstock, NH; Karen (Jay) Berger, Mandan, ND; Denise (Chad) Miller, Glen Ullin, ND; His grandchildren Savannah (Keith) Rich, Daytona Deachman, Brandon Berger, Delani Berger, Devin (Monica) Miller, Weston Miller.
