Gary passed away peacefully at his home on March 12, 2023.


He led a full life. He was educated in the Bethlehem School system and joined the Air Force in 1956.


His many aspirations were fulfilled. Among these accomplishments to mention, he built a log home from start to finish. He built a beautiful home, and it still remains in the family. His son Rick is keeping his dream alive.


His goal was to become a pilot and be a fixed based operator at the Whitefield Regional airport. He had his own airplane and enjoyed taking people over the White Mountains.


He relocated to the Seacoast of New Hampshire in the 1980’s. He operated heavy equipment for several years until his retirement. Once retired he and his wife spent several years being snowbirds.


He was predeceased by his mother and father, Howard and Elouise Sanborn, and his brothers, Gus and Duane Sanborn.


He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, his brother, Roy Sanborn of Meredith NH, sister, Nita Ross of Manchester, NH, his children, Jean Sanborn of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Richard Sanborn of Bethlehem, NH, Terrie Chambers of Dover, NH, and Chris Sanborn of Wilton, NH. 3 Grandchildren, Rickieanne Baker of Tularsora , New Mexico, Christian Sanborn of Middleton, NH, and Jordan Chambers of Dover, NH. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.


A graveside service for Gary will be held on Monday, April 24 beginning at 2pm at the Maple Street Cemetery in Bethlehem NH.
