Gaston Barriere

Gaston Barriere, 91, of Manchester, NH went to the Lord on December 8, 2018. Born in North Stoke, QC on June 27, 1927 to Emile and Agnes (Dubreuil) Barriere.

He moved his family to Manchester, NH in 1955 where he worked in the local shoe shops. Later, he changed trades and worked in drywall for 20 years until he retired. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and The Thousand Men of Precious Blood.

He leaves behind his loving and caring wife of 71 years, Jeanne d'Arc (Cote) Barriere; five children, Laurian (Larry) Barriere and his wife, Christine, of Manchester, NH; Jocelyn (Joe) Barriere and his wife, Diane, of Manchester, NH; Richard (Rico) Barriere and his wife, Doris (Dolly), of Los Angeles, CA; Huguette Barriere of Sebastopol, CA ; and Mario Barriere of Cumberland, RI. He had nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He is survived by three siblings, Robert Barriere and his wife, Jacqueline, of Manchester, NH, Yvette Boutin and husband, Raymond, of Sherbrooke, QC, Denis Barriere and wife, Lise, of Brompton, QC; and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on Thursday, December 13th at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH. He will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
