Genevieve E. (Turcotte) Carle, 81, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, in Goffstown.

She was born in Manchester, NH, on July 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Frank and Ernestine (Boisvert) Turcotte. She grew up in Manchester and attended local schools. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Mrs. Carle was employed for U.S. Rubber where she was working to assist the war efforts, Mae West. She later was employed at Honeywell where she was an assembler, and Jordan Marsh, in Bedford as a sales representative.

Mrs. Carle enjoyed making jigsaw puzzles, and camping with her husband, Roland.

Family members include; 1 sister, Sally Dorval, of Franklin, NH; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland J. Carle, who died in 1999.

IN HER LIFE: Other family members include; her brother-in-law and wife, Mr. & Mrs. Lionel Carle, Sr. of Merrimack; 3 nieces, Michelle and her husband, David Raymond, of Goffstown; Linda and her husband, William Brackett, of Lancaster, NH; Anne Carle of Manchester; 5 nephews, Michael and his wife Evelyn Dorval, of Arizona; Frank and Cris Dorval of Oxford, ME; Lionel and wife, Lorraine Carle, Jr., of Merrimack; Leo and Sue Brosseau, of Belmont, NH; Richard Carle, of Vermont, 10 great nieces and nephews, 8 great great nieces and nephews. At age 75, she was educated by Matthew Morrisette as to the operation of a computer and navigating the internet. Ryan Girard was her neighbor and her favorite “Little Professor”. She was often times visited by her neighbors, the Vallee’s and the Girard’s.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Monday, December 31, from 9:00 – 10:30 A.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, in Bedford. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester.

Memorial donations may be made to The Sisters of Holy Cross, Development Center, 377 Island Pond Road, Manchester, NH 03109, in memory of Mrs. Carle.
