Mr. George A. Bourque, 72, of Goffstown, NH died July 16, 2012 at CMC in Manchester following a long illness.
He was born on June 25, 1940 in Suncook, NH the son of the late Walter and Aurore Bourque. George was a longtime resident of the area.
For 25 years he worked at JF McElwain Shoe Company. Most recently he worked at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown.
George enjoyed watching Sci-Fi movies, collecting coins, loved antique cars and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time at home with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucille (Chainey) Bourque of Goffstown, NH; 4 sons, George Bourque Jr. and his wife Judee, Robert Bourque, Raymond Bourque and his wife Karen and Daniel Bourque all of Manchester; daughter, Susie Lacroix of Manchester, 9 grandchildren, Brian, Steven, Kaitlyn, David, Christopher, Chelsey, Zachary, Jacob and Mason; 2 great granddaughters, Alivia and Taylor; and his brother, Walter Bourque of Concord.
Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Complimentary valet parking will be available from 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley St, Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
