October 22, 1960 — May 28, 2024

Manchester, NH

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of George A. Bourque Jr. on May 28, 2024. Born in Manchester and raised in Goffstown, George never had any desire to leave his home state of New Hampshire, valuing the close-knit community and the comfort of familiar faces. It is there where he would marry his best friend Judee and raise his three beloved children.

George met the love of his life, Judee, in 1984, and they married in 1991. Their union was a testament to true partnership and devotion, setting a remarkable blueprint for a loving and selfless marriage. They did everything together, from everyday activities to special adventures, embodying the essence of a generous and supportive couple.

Professionally, George was a dedicated and hardworking individual. He spent over 20 years working for Manchester News before moving to General Linen, where he worked for another 20 years. Known for his loyalty and strong work ethic, George was respected by colleagues and enjoyed meeting and socializing with people through his work. His commitment to his job and his positive attitude made him a role model for many.

Anyone who knew George will remember his a passion for sports, staying active, and spending time with friends and family. He could often be found at the gym, participating in monthly poker games with friends, or enjoying sports Sundays in his man cave. He loved grilling for his family and spending time with his loved ones, always valuing the joy of togetherness. George was known for his even-keeled nature, sense of humor, and the way he cherished every day. He was always happy, loved making others laugh, and was deeply devoted to his "people."

George is survived by his loving wife, Judee Bourque; his children, Steven Light with Jess, Brian Bourque with Marian, and Kaitlyn Bourque with Jeff; and his granddaughter, Taylor Murdough with Michael, along with many extended family members and friends.
