George E. Gosselin, 86, of 125 Elm Street, died December 2, 2000 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on July 13, 1914, the son of the late Adelard and Caroline (Desrosiers) Gosselin and had been a Goffstown resident for the past thirty years. He worked at J.F. McElwain for 27 years. After that, he worked for the Hillsborough County House of Corrections until his retirement in 1976. He was a parishioner of St. Lawrence Church and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Family members include his wife of 60 years, Claire M. (Dupont) Gosselin; two daughters, Dolores Gosselin and Michele Gosselin, both of Goffstown; a son, Raymond Gosselin of Goffstown; two grandchildren, Joseph Gosselin and Nicole Gosselin, both of Goffstown; a sister, Cecile Royer of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave. on Monday evening from 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Lawrence Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
