George Ernest Harvey

George Ernest Harvey, 71 of Tamarac FL, formerly of NH and MA, passed away on May 7, 2021 in Rochester, NH. He spent months at the Miami VA Community Living Center before returning home to NH and family. Born in Everett, MA on October 25, 1949, George is the son of William Harvey and Shirley (Routley) Mattingly. George attended High school in Malden, MA and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served for four years. He loved the ocean, especially Cape Cod, where he worked on a whale watch boat and enjoyed the company of others. George had the "Gift of Gab" and charmed many with his smile, his quick wit and humor. George never met a stranger, he had a good soul and treated everyone like a friend.

He loved his dog Harley who meant the world to him. He was a family man who loved all of his nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He loved all of his friends as though they too were family. And you all know who you are. He had a huge heart and cared about everyone! All who knew him will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his three sisters; Shirley Chase of Manchester, Susan Rizzo of Manchester and Linda Fisher of South Carolina and is predeceased by his brothers, William and Robert Harvey.

George will be laid to rest in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at a later date.
