George Howard Lovejoy

George Howard Lovejoy, 58, of 5 Summerfare Street, Hooksett, died in Franklin on March 7, 2005. He was born in Cambridge, MA on March 7, 1947, the son of George and Helen (Condon) Lovejoy and was raised in Reading, MA. He was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1965 and was a New Hampshire College 1969 graduate with a degree in Business Science. He was a Manchester resident from 1966 to 1978 when he then moved to Hooksett. He completed the executive training program at Jordan Marsh where he worked as a department manager and shortage controller from 1970 to 1985. After that, he was an account executive for Coles Express, Land Air Express and APA until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and a good friend to many. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, kindness and his ability to put the needs of others first. He was very supportive of all his children’s activities. He loved boating and spending time at the lake. Family members include his wife of 29 ½ years, Diane (Rogier) Lovejoy; two sons, Morgan A. Lovejoy and Christian A. Lovejoy, both of Hooksett; a daughter, Brynn E. Lovejoy of Hooksett; one brother, John Lovejoy of Salisbury and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be private. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
