George Prasch

George Prasch passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, at the age of 81 in Manchester, NH. 

Born on January 30, 1943 in Jersey City, New Jersey, George went to Dickinson High School and later moved to Pompton Plains to raise his children. He dedicated over 30 years of service as a Master Electrician and was a 55-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW Local 164. George was proud of his work on many large commercial construction projects in North Jersey including the Brendan Byrne Arena and Harborside Financial in Jersey City.

George is survived by his wife of 29 years, Alice L. (Vanasse, Normand) Prasch; his daughter, Heather Prasch, and granddaughters Sarah and Jordan Ali; and his daughter Erica (Prasch) Bulger, her husband Joe, granddaughter Courtney, and grandsons Brian and Matt. Additionally, he leaves behind his stepdaughter Joanne (Nowell) Normand, her husband Brian Cochrane; granddaughter Laura (Nowell) Nickerson, her husband Jon, and great-granddaughters Layla and Logan; grandson Jeff Nowell and Erin Humphrey and great-granddaughter Taylor; his stepdaughter Chris (Normand) Couture, her husband Norm, and granddaughters Julia and Katelyn; his stepson David Normand and his wife Debi (Ahern), granddaughter Hunter and grandson Jack; his sister Rosemary Stackpole; his sister-in-law Janice Wightman, and his brother-in-law Andre Normand. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Alice and George, his brother John (Bill) Prasch, sister Patricia (Prasch) Poulos, brother-in-law William (Stacky) Stackpole, sister-in-law Muriel Normand, and several other relatives.

George and his wife Alice shared a passion for golf and were longstanding members of the Intervale Country Club. They cherished their travels in the U.S. to California, Florida, Hawaii, Tennessee, and throughout New England; as well as international destinations such as: Aruba, the Bahamas, Ireland, and Nova Scotia. These journeys provided them with cherished memories and the opportunity to travel with and meet both old and new friends. George loved fishing and spending time at the Jersey shore with family and friends throughout his life. George was a gregarious, good-hearted soul and made friends wherever he went. He loved his family and bragging about all of his grandkids and great-grandchildren to everyone.

SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held at Intervale Country Club, 1491 Front St., Manchester, NH, on Friday, November 22nd from 2:30 - 5:00 pm.
