George D. Robbins

George D. Robbins, Sr., 87, of Concord, NH, died on September 4, 2017. He was born in Buzzards Bay, MA on December 26, 1929 to the late John and Bessie (Paine) Robbins. George enjoyed 61 years of marriage with his wife, Shirley (Jones) Robbins, who predeceased him in 2015.

George lived most of his life in the Buzzards Bay area. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War, and later worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, George D. Robbins, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Dunbarton, NH; daughter Jeanne Roy and husband Dave of Pembroke, NH; daughter Susan Delorey of Concord, NH; his brothers Dennis, John and Paul Robbins; his sisters, Kathy and Anne; grandchildren Jamie, Diana, Heather, Caitlin and Brenda; five great-grandchildren, and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 8th from 12-1 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH. A service with military honors will be held at 1:30 at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
