GEORGE W. THOMPSON, SR.
LITTLETON -- George W. (Bud) Thompson Sr., 76, of Littleton passed away March 4, 2004 at the Littleton Regional Hospital after a long illness.
George was born on March 3,1928 in Littleton, NH, a son of the late George C. and Clara J. (Crowe) Thompson, making George a lifelong resident of Littleton.
He was a graduate of Littleton High School, class of 1948 and a past member of the National Guard. He was a dedicated worker for the Franconia Notch State Park for over 40 years.
Surviving family includes his wife of 52 years, Jean (Ingerson) Thompson of Littleton; three sons, George W. Thompson Jr. of Littleton, Mark W. Thompson of Raymond, NH, and Michael S. Thompson of Littleton, NH; a daughter Lori J. LeMay of Norwalk, CT; a sister, Helen Haynes of Littleton, NH; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters predeceased him.
SERVICES -- A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton with the Pastor Allen & wife, Flo Corey, officiating.
The family suggests donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Hospice of the Littleton Area, 600 St. Johnsbury Road, Littleton, NH 03561 or the North Country Home Health Agency, 536 Cottage Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
