GEORGE EDWARD TUCKER JR.
BETHLEHEM, NH ---- George Edward Tucker, Jr., 87 years old, passed away on March 13, 2004 after a short illness at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH.
George was born in Boston, MA on February 4th, 1917, a son of George Edward and Margaret (OHara) Tucker, Sr..
He was graduated from Bethlehem High School and served in World War II from 1941 to 1945. During his life he served as a precinct commissioner for the town of Bethlehem; worked on the Moore Dam in Littleton, NH, and later became a master heavy equipment mechanic for the interstate highway system throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
He leaves three children: George Tucker 3rd and Daniel Tucker, both of Bethlehem, and Anna Miner of Panama City Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Lindsay Tucker; two nieces; Jane D. Webster of Wyoming and Patricia Thurston of Connecticut. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, in 1986, a sister, Mary T. Patten in 1966, and a brother Eugene Tucker in 2000.
SERVICES: A Graveside Ceremony will be held in May 2004. Donations can be made to the Meals on Wheels Program of Grafton County Senior Citizens Council, Inc, P.O. Box 433, Lebanon, NH 03766.
