Georgette R. Bernier
Georgette R. (Roy) Bernier, 87, formerly of Manchester, passed away on January 29, 2011 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
She was born in Manchester on October 22, 1923, the daughter of Origene and Rose (Dery) Roy and had been a Manchester resident all of her life before moving to the seacoast two years ago. She loved gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughters. She was the widow of Raymond Bernier who died in 1998.
In Her Life: Family members include two sons, Robert Bernier and his wife Renee of Damariscotta, ME, and David Bernier and his wife Joanne of Pembroke; two daughters, Muriel St. Laurent and her husband Andre of Goffstown, and Debra Bernier and her husband William Vasil of Hampton; six grandchildren, Nathan and Caley Vasil, Andrea and Michael Bernier, Jennifer Wagner, and Lisa Ferdinando; five great granddaughters; a step brother, Robert Roy and his wife Joanne of Manchester; and one nephew and two nieces.
A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. Services will be private. Urn burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. For more information, go to the obituary section of our website at www.phaneuf.net.
