Georgette T. Colyer

Georgette “Jetta” T. Colyer, 96, of Bedford, NH passed away surrounded by her loving children on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Bedford Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Bedford, NH.

Jetta was born on March 30, 1927, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian (Hebert) Boisvert.

She retired to New Port Richey, FL for over 30 sun-filled, happy years and at the age of 81 she returned to NH to be closer to family.

Jetta enjoyed being surrounded by family, a good laugh, a slice of pizza and a cold beer. She is a much-loved Mom, Gramma and Great Gram. She made lots of wonderful friends at the Bedford Nursing and Rehabilitation & Brookhaven Hospice, friendships her family will forever be grateful for. She was an impressive and humble crafter, always keeping her hands busy with needle point, rug making and basket making. She was a master at Sudoku, a nimble dancer, and a cutthroat at Bingo, always socializing wherever she went. We will all miss Jets laughter, her impeccable style and sharing a Tootsie pop outside on a sunny day.

Members of her family include three daughters, Deb Demers, of Bethlehem, NH; Kathy Johnson and her husband, Brian, of Manchester, NH; Sandy Kent and her husband, Alan, of Twin Mountain, NH; her son, Jim Grant and his wife, Heather, of Dunbarton, NH; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one sister, Sylvia MacDonnell and her (late) husband, Fred, of Braintree, MA. Jetta was spoiled in her later years by her niece Joanne Fortin of Goffstown, NH. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her favorite husband, Peter Huot, her son, Dennis Grant, her sisters, Doris Bouchard and Germaine Boisvert.

SERVICES: Per Jetta's wishes, there are no calling hours or services, as she never liked to make a fuss about herself.
