Georgette G. Garamella, 77, of 17000 Gulf Boulevard, N. Redington Beach, Florida and formerly of 187 Oak Hill Avenue, Manchester, died February 13, 2001, in Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Florida after a short illness. She was born in Manchester, NH on February 14, 1923, the daughter of Ernest and Cora (Desfosses) Demers and resided many years in Manchester before moving to Florida in 1979. Georgette was a graduate from various Manchester local schools and also graduated from Houle's Beauty Salon. She owned and operated Georgette's Beauty Salon and together with her husband they owned and operated The Ragged Edge Apartments in Ragged Mountain in New Hampshire and The Sea Horse Motel in N. Redington Beach, Florida. Family members include her husband of 55 years Retired Major USMC, William D. Garamella, Sr., of N. Redington Beach, Florida, a son William D. Garamella, Jr., of Manchester, a daughter Doctor Michael and Jane (Garamella) Jukes of N. Redington Beach, Florida, a grandson, Benjamin D. Garamella of Manchester, two brothers, Andre Demers and Eugene Demers, two sisters, Jeannette L'Heureux and Rachel St. Cyr, all of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in St. Patrick Church. Entombment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
