Georgette Yvonne Huard, 81, wife of the late Aime J. Huard, Sr., died Monday, January 3, 2005, at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Amesbury, Massachusetts on September 8, 1923, the daughter of Hormidas and Fabiola (Ducharme) Poirier. She went to school in Manchester, NH, where she met and married Mr. Huard. They moved to Londonderry, NH, more than 40 years ago and wintered in Spring Hill, Florida and also had a cottage on Highland Lake in Stoddard, NH. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. IN HER LIFE: Mrs. Huard had been married to Aime for 57 years when he died in 2001. In addition to taking care of her family, she supported her husband as he built his business, Workplace Systems, Inc., which his children continue to operate today in Londonderry, NH. Mr. & Mrs. Huard traveled extensively for many years. Mrs. Huard loved bowling, playing cards and e-mailing her sisters. She was a devoted communicant and generous supporter of St. Judes Church in Londonderry, NH and Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine in Orlando, Florida. One of the many gestures her children and grandchildren will dearly miss is seeing Memere wave from the kitchen window each time they drove away. In addition to her husband, she was also pre-deceased by a son, Paul Huard and a grandson Paul Guay. Surviving family members include four daughters; Mrs. Patricia Zeamans of Merrimack, NH, Mrs. Anne OReilly, Mrs. Louise Lanctot, both of Bedford, NH and Mrs. Jacqueline Weaver of Rocky Hill, Connecticut; one son, Aime J. Huard, Jr. of Londonderry, NH; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; five sisters; Mrs. Claire Loiselle of Goffstown, NH, Mrs. Lucille Austin, Mrs. Lorette Petriw, Mrs. Simone Auger, all of Manchester and Mrs. Gertrude Lemay of Modesto, California, one brother, Henry Poirier of Manchester, NH. SERVICES: Calling hours will be at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 OClock in St. Jude Church, Londonderry, NH. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
