Georgia Skaliaris Moulis of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully in her home on June 4th, 2023. She was 89. Georgia was born in Kokkinopilos, Greece on April 4, 1934, daughter of Thomas and Mary "Maria" (Didaskalou) Skaliaris. She is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Charles Moulis, and her eldest daughter, Maria Moulis.
She is survived by her children Stacey Hellyer and husband James of Candia, NH; Spiro Moulis and wife Tina of Bedford, NH; Kristina Barton and husband Chris of Manchester, NH; and grandchildren, Kelsey Keshigian, Matthew Hurley, Skylar Hellyer, Stella Moulis, and Javien Moulis. Georgia is also survived by her sisters, Nola Kalantzis and Faye Pliakos, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Georgia worked for many years and retired from Raytheon in Manchester, NH. After retirement, Georgia also loved working as a lunch lady for her own alma mater, Manchester Central High School, where she became famous for her ankle tattoo of the school's mascot that she acquired in her 70s. She loved being recognized out and about by her many adoring fans (students). She was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, and loved to travel and read.
Georgia was funny, kind, fiercely independent, and extremely dedicated to her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Services will be held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 1160 Bridge St., Manchester, NH 03104 on Thursday, June 8th. Visitation will be held from 10AM-11AM with her funeral service at 11AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial contributions for Georgia be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church or VNA Hospice of Manchester & Southern NH. The family would like to thank the VNA staff for their kind and compassionate care.
