Gerald Richard Beauchesne

Mr. Gerald Richard Beauchesne, 73, of Hooksett, NH died June 10, 2008 at home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 12, 1934 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Wilfred and Yvonne (Tessier) Beauchesne. He was a resident of Hooksett for most of his life. He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School. He graduated from SNHU with his bachelor degree. Mr. Beauchesne worked many years in the computer industry. The last ten years, prior to retirement, he was employed as a Marketing Manager for Digital Equipment. In addition to serving in the Air National Guard from 1952 to 1961, he was extremely active in his community. He served on the School Board for the Town of Hooksett as well as Trinity High School. He served as Town Councilor and on the Hooksett Budget Committee. He was Treasurer for the Boy Scouts of America for several years. He served as Treasurer and was on the Board of Directors at Plausawa Valley CC . In his earlier years he enjoyed camping with his family. He was an avid golfer and was a fan of the Patriots & Red Sox. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Yvette (Mailhot) Beauchesne of Hooksett; three sons, Dr. Richard Beauchesne of Camden, ME, Maurice Beauchesne of Hooksett and Normand Beauchesne of Concord, a daughter, Ann Beaudoin of Goffstown, 9 grandchildren, a sister, Muriel Trovato of Epsom and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St. Manchester on Friday from 5-8pm. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, Hooksett, on Saturday at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
