Geraldine L. Demmerle

Geraldine L. (Widick) Demmerle, 63, of 41 Pincrest Drive, Bedford, died October 12, 2000, at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Warren, Michigan on November 20, 1936, the daughter of Milton and Nadine (Truitt) Widick and had been a Bedford resident since 1977. She was a U.S.Navy Korean War Veteran and belonged to the WAVs. She was a Cum Laude graduate of the University of New Hampshire at the age of 42. She was President of Barco Sales, Inc., a company she had started with her husband. She was an avid gardener and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Family members include her husband of 43 years, William Demmerle, Sr.; a son William Demmerle, Jr. of Manchester; three daughters, Sharon Demmerle of Manchester, Carol Kolenski of Wilder, VT and Robin Tierney of Nashua; a step daughter, Linda Tubbs of Syracuse, NY; eight grandchildren; a brother, Milton Widick of Rochester, NY; three sisters, Nadine Weaver, Carol Kelly and Linda Rogers, all of Sacramento, CA; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday evening from 6 to 7 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
