Amherst- Geraldine J. (Nelson) Huyck, 84, of Amherst, NH passed away peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Born in Garland, Texas, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Myrtle (Lawson) Nelson and was the loving wife of Edward R. Huyck. She was raised and educated in Fort Worth, Texas.
A proud, devoted wife, committed mother, and loving grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, her family was paramount in her life. She loved gardening, and working as an accountant for many years at Trammell Crow Co., until her retirement in 1997.
Geraldine was married to her beloved husband, Eddie, for 51 years. She will be eternally loved and missed by many good friends and relatives.
In addition to her husband, Geraldine leaves behind her children, Denna Creswell of Haltom City, TX, Mike Mitchell of Fort Worth, TX, Rick Mitchell of Krum, TX, and Tim Huyck of Amherst, NH, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, her sister Shirley Nelson and her brother Wendell Nelson both of Ft Worth, TX.
Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers Buster, Dempsey, Coy and Foy, and sisters Babe, Nona, Nellie and Mattie.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jerri's memory to support local care, research and support programs for dementia and Alzheimer's in either

Arrangements: A gathering will be held on Sunday June 8th between the hours of 2pm and 4pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home 243 Hanover Street in Manchester, NH. A future service and burial will be held at Greenwood Funeral Home in Ft. Worth, Texas.
