Geraldine A. Silva, 83, of Auburn, passed away on January 29, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 9, 1940 to the late Palmer and Pauline Woodworth in Paris Island, South Carolina.
Geraldine was a natural born caregiver. She worked for over 50 years in the nursing industry as both an LPN at Catholic Medical Center, and the owner and operator of Goffstown Manor Group Home. She was incredibly spiritual and was a beloved member of the Longmeadow Congregational Church, where she was part of the choir and other groups. Along with being a loving and caring mother to her family, she was a lover of animals. She would always feed the squirrels and rabbits in her yard, even though they would often interfere with her beautiful garden. She loved the outdoors and was a very avid traveler. Most notably she went on a cruise to Alaska and had visited several countries throughout the world. Her spirited personality and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.
Geraldine is survived by her children, Cheryl Kehoe and her husband Brian of Weare, Brad Remillard and his wife Diane of Auburn, Timothy Remillard and his wife Christina of Maine, and Rick Remillard and his wife Janine of Manchester; 8 grandchildren; and her siblings, Kathi Baker and Sandra Woodworth. Geraldine is predeceased by her first husband Richard Remillard, Sr; second husband Manny Silva; son Mark Remillard; brother David Woodworth; and sisters Elizabeth “Betty” Landry and Donna Ross.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00pm at Longmeadow Congregational Church, 4 Wilsons Crossing Road in Auburn. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a reception in the church following the mass.
